Rosie O’Gayness is still alive?

Rosie O'Donnell

I don’t follow “The View”.. No seriously, I don’t.. But I do follow a blog called Hot Air which, along with other sources, does the work of bringing the important, comical, and sometimes just plain irrelevant, but still interesting, news of the day to my attention.

Anyhow, Hot Air has a clip of this show “The View” in which Rosie O’Muffdiver says that Radical Christianity is just as dangerous as Radical Islam and proceeds to get an onslaught of applause for it. Does America really believe this nonsense?

Let’s set aside what happened on September 11, 2001 in America, March 11, 2004 in Spain, September 10, 2004 in Russia, July 7, 2005 in England, July 11, 2006 in India, and the numerous attacks on Israel throughout the years and the fact that Christians haven’t committed any such attacks in my lifetime (or for quite a while before that but I won’t make that statement directly because it will require a great deal of expansion which I’m not ready to do at the moment), as difficult pf a cognitive task as this may be (unless, of course, you’re a Liberal), and simply focus on rhetoric.

Let’s take the Conservative Christian every liberal loves, Pat Robertson, who is the founder and head of the Christian Coalition and compare him with say, Azzam Tamimi, an “expert” in Islam and head of the “Institute of Islamic Political Thought.”

Pat Robertson:
“He [Hugo Chavez] has destroyed the Venezuelan economy, and he’s going to make that a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism all over the continent. You know, I don’t know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we’re trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It’s a whole lot cheaper than starting a war.”

My question:
What’s wrong with this statement? Chavez is a dirty communist and is involved with Muslim extremists in Iran, namely their crazy president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. We were at war with the Communists for at leas half a century. We killed plenty of those dirty bastards then and Robertson is proposing we do it again now. Do you liberals propose we pay reparations to the Russians for winning the Cold War?

Azzam Tamimi:
“Anybody in the world, with faith or without faith, must come together in order to eradicate this cancer [Israel] from the body of humanity… It is just a matter of time. You count my words and you remember these words. It is a matter of time, as they were removed from south Lebanon because of the great jihad of Hezbollah. And as they are removed from Gaza because of the great jihad of Hamas and Islamic jihad. This black chapter in the history of humanity will eventually come to an end…”

My question:
If this guy, and the group he is speaking to on the streets of downtown London yelling “Allah Ahkbar”, is supposed to be a moderate Muslim (I’m not quite sure what that means. Is he a moderate extremist Muslim? Or is he only moderately Muslim? The fact that you have to attach the word “moderate” indicates that he’s probably less hardcore than the actual Muslims. Right?), why does he preach about wiping out an entire race of people?

I mean, simply look at the rhetoric. Pat Robertson, who is considered an extremist, was the subject of a huge deal of criticism by the mainstream media when he suggested we should take out a dangerous Communist leader whereas Azzam Tamimi, a “moderate Muslim”, gets virtually no heat for calling for the destruction of an entire democratic nation.

Pat Robertson also said, “We at the Christian Coalition are raising an army who cares. We are training people to be effective — to be elected to school boards, to city councils, to state legislatures, and to key positions in political parties…. By the end of this decade, if we work and give and organize and train, The Christian Coalition will become the most powerful political organization in America.”

Clearly he uses the word “army” in an analogous sense. He talks about taking over through the legal political process. When Azzam Tamimi and others talk about taking over, they mean it, as we have recently seen, in a strictly violent way. They don’t care whether they have to hide behind innocent children or blow themselves up in crowded places. They’re ready to do whatever it takes.

Rossie, we know you’re fat and ugly, so am I, but you don’t need to get attention by appealing to idiots who consider “The View” their source for political insight.
